AMBR LE™ & Reverse Osmosis



Ardmore distillery is a producer of a single malt Scotch whisky, and is the only Highland distillery that fully peats its standard malt. Founded in the late 19th century, the distillery is today owned by Beam Suntory, one of the world’s largest producers of spirits.

Project requirements

Replacement of an existing treatment facility to a complete turnkey effluent plant for treatment of wastewater generated from process areas and notably for removal of residual copper concentrations.

Significant improvements in effluent discharge quality and copper concentrations, for discharge to local watercourse meeting with stringent parameters set by SEPA.


Complete turnkey solution:

  • Inlet screening, balance and divert tanks, DAF treatment and AMBR LE™ plant comprising bioreactor tank and ultrafiltration membrane separation
  • Totally automated, with remote access for plant monitoring.
