Client
Cucina Sano is part of the Bakkavor Group, a UK provider of fresh prepared foods. The Cucina Sano facility produces Italian ready meals and accompaniments for Marks and Spencer (M&S), and have recently been awarded with the M&S Plan A Gold status following the installation of their wastewater treatment and water reuse plant.
The new wastewater treatment facility enables over 80% of the water to be safely recycled and has also significantly reduced the number of tankers transporting the wastewater away from the site.
As well as designing and building the facility, Aquabio are also operating the plant for a 10 year period.
Project requirements
Treatment of wastewater for discharge to a local watercourse with stringent volumetric discharge consent. Reuse of water to the prescribed concentration values of the current Private Water Supply Regulations.
